A 30 year old woman from The United Kingdom, London, decided to cut off her pinky finger and document the entire process on Facebook for no other reason other than the fact that she “wanted to”. After deciding about a week ago that she wanted to cut off her finger, Torz Reynolds begun counting down on her Facebook profile to the event. “5 day countdown, 4 day countdown, 3 day counted………” she counted down everyday until she reach “0 day countdown”.

“Sorry guys. . . I just couldn’t bring myself to do it!”

“Just kidding………” she posted a picture of her newly amputated finger:

She said she used bolt cutters to cut off her finger, and it felt “Delicious and crunchy”. “It looks cute” she told a Facebook friend who asked her why she did it.

She posted an update a few days later to inform everyone that she was healing well and “totally loving it”.

That post went viral on Facebook and with it came lots of criticism.

“You should chop off your ovaries too so you don’t reproduce.” one Facebook user told her.

“White people are fucking crazy” another wrote.

“This is why we need to ban Tumblr” another comment read.

Despite all the criticism, Torz says she couldn’t be happier with what she had done.

“I literally couldn’t be happier with it!! Just re-dressed it & its healing perfectly” she wrote on Facebook.

To address all the criticism, she wrote a “FAQ” post to explain herself. According to her, any medical professional who thinks the pictures of her amputated finger are fake or infected, needs to find a new career.

She also says her hand-jobs aren’t worse than they used to be, because she’s right handed.

Finally, she says anyone who doesn’t understand why she did why she did what she did needs to mind their own business.

“I do these things for myself. It’s not hurting ANYBODY else. I chose to document them on Facebook because I want to share the experience with my friends.

Do u have to understand it? No.
Do u have to like it? No.
Do u have to be offended by it? No.
Do u have to follow my page & look at it? – No
