Beyonce and Adele are the latest topic of discussion in the entertainment world. Adele walked away with five Grammys on Sunday night, including the coveted Album of the Year gong for her record “25”, an award that many Beyonce fans believe Beyonce should have won. In fact, they have essentially turned Beyonce losing the award into a racial controversy.
CNN suggested that the reason Beyonce didn’t win the award was because of racism and that her album was “too black” for everyone. The daily beast said “there is no awards show that is more culturally embarrassing than the Grammy Awards”. Pretty much every social Justice warrior, Feminist and Beyonce fan (they call themselves “Beyhive”) believes that the reason she lost is because the Grammys are racist.
13-time award winner Carlos Santana, however, would beg to differ. Carlos, who performed with Beyonce at the Superbowl in 2002, believes Adele deserved to win because she is extremely talented. He suggested that even though Beyonce is quite good looking and an excellent performer, Adele was a much better singer.
“I think that Adele won because she can sing, sing,”.
“With all respect to our sister Beyonce, Beyonce is very beautiful to look at and it’s more like modelling kind of music – music to model a dress – she’s not a singer, singer, with all respect to her,”.
“Adele can sing, sing. She doesn’t bring all the dancers and props, she can just stand there and she just stood there and sang the song and that’s it, and this is why she wins,”.
If you were expecting rational responds from Beyonce’s fans, well you can put that thought to rest.
If you’re familiar with Beyonce’s cultist followers, then you already know what follows. Several Beyonce fans, the majority of whom don’t even know who Carlos is, took to Twitter to express their
On the plus side, Carlos is a Latino, so they can’t really scream “racism”.
