Finally some justice in the world. Earlier this week, a woman threatened to accuse a Uber driver of rape because he didn’t provide her with an Iphone charger (I am not making this up). She even threatened to punch herself in the face to make her story more believable. Little did she know that the driver was recording the entire confrontation. The woman in questions has now been banned from using the Uber App for life.
Here’s the original story and video, as reported by the New York Post:
An enraged Bronx woman threatened to falsely accuse an Uber driver of rape and assault — after he told her he didn’t have a charger for her phone, footage shows.
“I’m going to start screaming out the window that you’re raping me, that you raped me,” the female passenger can be heard saying in a dashcam video posted by LiveLeak.
“I will punch myself in the face and tell the cops you did it,” she adds. “You wanna play?”
The incident is said to have occurred Monday in the Bronx, according to the video-sharing website.
The woman also hurled racial expletives at the driver and told him to “go back to your country.”
“Donald Trump going to send you and your family back,” she seethes. “Get the f–k out of my country.”
The heated exchange apparently stemmed from an argument over the driver not having an iPhone charger.
“If I don’t have a charger, politely ask me. I’ll politely tell you, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t have a charger,’” the man says. “But you start disrespecting me.”
Thanks to the internet, the video went viral online and caught the attention of Uber. The driver has been compensated by the company for having to undergo this ordeal. In addition, the woman in the video has also been banned from the Uber App for life.
The young Bronx woman who threatened to call police and falsely accuse an Uber driver of rape has been banned from the app for life, a spokesperson says.
Dash-cam footage, which was posted online this week, showed the female passenger furiously accosting the male driver for nearly 9 minutes — even going so far as to say “Donald Trump going to send you and your family back [to your country].”
“The behavior in this video is abusive and completely unacceptable,” an Uber spokesperson said in a statement.
“As our Community Guidelines make clear, this will not be tolerated by anyone who uses Uber,” they added. “The rider’s account has been banned and Uber is looking into this incident.”
In addition to threatening to report the driver for rape, the enraged woman was also caught on video saying she would punch herself in the face and tell cops he did it.
“You’re going to jail,” she repeatedly told him.
The exchange apparently started after the passenger asked the driver for an iPhone charger, which he didn’t have.
“If I don’t have a charger, politely ask me. I’ll politely tell you, ‘I’m sorry, I don’t have a charger,’” the man said. “But you start disrespecting me.”
Neither the driver nor the rider have been publicly identified.
